Seeding Some Concept Art

I asked my brother to draw some concept art for Vyde for my Christmas present. He asked me to come up with a list of some things I wanted. So here's a list of some things. It's up to you which ones you do, bro.

Merry Christmas. :)

  • Music For...
    • bustling activity in a well-settled area; up-tempo marches or waltzes? Forward-moving, building in cycles. Low tech feel (say, drums) or high tech feel (say, high bpm w/ lots of instrumentation) — either one.
    • a newly discovered "holy place" like a locked tomb or deserted ruin; "something's about to happen" music
    • unexplored territory; moody, down-tempo, meanering, ambient. Might include sampled sound effects like dripping water, wind through a tunnel, etc.
  • Sketches of Things (portraits & iconic representations for, say, an inventory screen)
    • a pickaxe
    • a found piece of a long-broken holy relic
    • a cartographer's map
  • Sketches of People (character sketches & maybe a single side-view sprite, maybe the size of Samus)
    • a worker/digger/laborer
    • a cleric
    • an explorer
  • Sketches of Locations (moody perspective views & screenshot renderings ala, say, Metroid — think tile-based game)
    • a half-finished dwelling
    • a shrine (to what?)
    • an uncharted tunnel
